To sit back, relax with a favorite coffee drink, catch up on Hallmark movies, cuddle with kiddos…play?
Well, it was nice. My brain needed the break...our family definitely needed the break.
While the days leading up to Christmas were spent making final preparations for the big day, after Christmas was then our time to chill and play with new things. Brody spent a lot of time in his new sleeping bag, even refusing to sleep in his bed at night a couple of times!
We enjoyed a movie night with friends...
We went to the Lights After Christmas at the zoo. It was packed, and I kind of wish we'd have chosen a different activity to do that night…wasn't worth it in my opinion.
Lite Brite takes some major focus...
Two movies that were in heavy rotation: Despicable Me 2 (from Santa) and Tangled, which we've had for awhile but maybe only watched once or twice. I love both movies!
While shopping for new snowsuits for Emersyn and Jayce, I saw these cute snowman jammies for the twins!
One day Jayce woke up early from napping, so I brought him out to the living room, tucked him into his new sleeping bag, and he was out in seconds!
Now…I'm beginning to get mentally prepared for the return to real life. :) I have majorly been putting off some grading, and I have tons of planning to do. However, it sounds like our break may just be extended a bit! More snow and frigid temps coming our way!!

I especially love the couch and picnic on the blanket pic of all the kids (what a fun group!), Brody in the sleeping bag, and Emersyn and Jax in matching PJs!!!
