Well, in case you haven't heard...the twins are one year old!! :)
They wore these cute shirts on their actual birthday. Really, they only had them on for a couple hours, so can they get away with wearing them even though their birthday is over?? Or would that be a major baby faux pas? I don't want them to get made fun of in the sandbox. LOL.
Emersyn Elizabeth - It's my birthday!
Weight: 15 lbs. 9 oz. (3rd %)
Height: 28 inches (15th %)

Jaxson Thomas - It's MY birthday too!
Weight: 16 lbs. 8 oz. (3rd %)

Favorite food: Anything placed on his tray :)
I know we have little babies, but I was actually surprised at their weights! They eat like crazy!! Dr. Kennedy said she's not concerned at all: they are growing, they look beautiful, and they're just about the happiest babies she's seen!
They eat three meals a day and two small snacks, they still nurse in the morning before I go to work and before bedtime, and they've begun drinking whole milk with meals. It depends on the day whether or not they are interested in this.
No walking yet! Jax is pretty close, but Emmy is only just starting to hold onto something and "cruise." I think I'll be fine with no walking for a bit yet...they're hard enough to keep up with as it is, ha! Jax has discovered that he loves holding onto the side of his crib and jumping. Hilarious. Emmy loves to dance anytime she hears music coming from somewhere. Their favorite song at the moment is "If You're Happy and You Know It," complete with all the motions. Blowing kisses is also a highlight recently!
They both still only have one tooth each, but gums are sore, and their crabby-meters are beeping like crazy, so more have to be on the horizon!
Things I am looking so forward to in the coming months: seeing more of their personalities coming out, hearing how they will say "Brody," stripping them down and making filthy messes cleaning pumpkins and creating special projects, camping next month, playing outside in the fall weather, exposing them to more new foods, holiday fun, plus so much more! I love these little ones and can't wait to make more picture-perfect family memories.
And, of course, the obligatory monthly glider pictures...a smashing success as you will see below. :)

Jax: I dunno, sis, just don't look at the camera, and whatever you do...DON'T smile!!!

P.S. I know it appears I've had tons of time to update the blog, but in actuality, these posts have been hanging out as drafts for quite awhile. I pretty much have zero free/me time these days, so don't expect much in the way of updates!
