Waiting for Mommy

4/2/2011
Over the last couple weeks Brody has gotten himself into a new routine. He wakes up from his nap, gets a snack from Daddy, and sits in front of his bedroom window waiting for me to pull into the driveway. I tutor after school two days a week, so sometimes he is waiting patiently for over an hour. He does get down to play around a bit, but he always makes it back to his perch (the stool that goes with his drum set) in time to see me pulling in. 4/2/2011 4/2/2011
And how does it feel to finally get home and see his little body in the window? Um, kinda like that heart-skips-a-beat, smile-plastered-all-over-your-face, fireworks-shooting-through-the-air-on-the-Fourth-of-July feeling. You know it? 4/2/2011

Just another one of the many, many moments that make all the tough stuff worth it.
