Movie Nights

We had two really fun movie nights before Christmas, and luckily Kris was able to get both evenings off.  The first was at the home of our good buddies, the Rethmans.  Casey helped the kids make their own personal pizzas...

Then it was time for the Polar Express and hot cocoa!  The kids watched a bit of the movie, but they also had tons of fun playing with toys.

A couple nights later, we had another movie night at Yaya and Papa's house with the cousins!

I brought along supplies for a "reindeer food bar," where the kids fill personalized jars with their own special blend of ingredients just perfect for Santa's reindeer. (Thanks, Kelle Hampton!)  On Christmas Eve the food gets sprinkled on the front lawn--a tradition we've been excitedly doing since Brody was two!

Aunt Tracy brought along a jingle bell craft...

Then it was time for cookie-decorating madness!!  Just look at those anxious faces ready to destroy the kitchen floor! :)

Jax, would you like a cookie with those sprinkles?!

Finally, all those little tummies were filled with a snack and hot cocoa while watching the Polar Express again!  Love that movie!!

We had so much fun too! Definitely a new tradition, I think! Your whole stinkin' family is creative! Love the reindeer food bar, crafts and cookie decorating!
