Craft-tastic Morning

We enjoyed a fun morning at Wintergarden Park today craftin' for Christmas!  This is a free event organized by the city's parks and recs department.  There were several stations set up, and you were supposed to just make your way to each one when space became available!  (We ended up skipping a couple--one because it was a peanut butter/pinecone bird feeder, and another because...well, Kris and I were kind of "over" it by the end, LOL.)

So the first thing we made were nature-y ornaments...

Then we moved on to making Christmas trees using green feathers and an assortment of decorations...

This was our drying area...

Then the kids enjoyed using paint and stamps to decorate a canvas gift bag...

In this section (which had a nature viewing area), the kids made snowman cards.  We decided to forego a wreath-making activity and instead the kids enjoyed some of the puppets, stuffed animals, puzzles, etc. that were all in this room.

Then we burned off some energy outside on one of the trails.

Jayce: Oh, no problem guys...you just enjoy your graham crackers while I struggle to stay upright.

Our little explorers all took excellent naps later on!  Success!
