Baby Jayce's First Week

Been a busy and exhausting week since we brought the new little guy home! The three older kids are very interested in "Baby Jayce" and love him already. These pictures are from Thursday, 9/22, our first full day at home.














First attempt at getting a picture of all four kids. As you can see, somebody wasn't havin' it...




...that is, until Daddy joined the fun.








We went for a slooooow walk in the evening with our bigger crew. Note everyone's still in jammies!




We took Jayce to his one-week check-up a few days ago. The doctor wants to see him back at two weeks for a quick weight check since he is not up to birth weight yet. (He was 8 lbs. 12 oz. at birth, 8 lbs. 3 oz. at discharge, and 8 lbs. 6 oz. at one week.) Other than that, he checked out perfectly!

Jayce has been keeping me very busy, rarely lasting longer than two hours between feedings. He has been nursing about 3-4 times overnight. Sometimes he'll go right back to sleep, other times he needs a little help getting there--rocking, walking, pats on the back. Several times I've just taken him out to the couch and we cuddle back to sleep! I really don't even remember how I managed doing all this--especially the nighttime feedings--with two tiny babies last time!
