Pumpkin Farm

Sunday after arriving home and semi-unpacking from the big camping trip we took advantage of the summer-like weather and headed out for a family outdoor activity: Fleitz Pumpkin Farm.

While it was a fun trip, and we ran into several friends, it just didn't feel...oh, I don't know...authentic. I give you Exhibit A:

Shorts, t-shirt, rosy red cheeks. Sitting on a pumpkin. Not my idea of fall, but hey, I guess it was better than freezing temps!

YaYa and PaPa met us there with Jordan and Josie.

Proud pumpkin owner!

These will make some fine painting pumpkins!

Kris and Brody found a "shoulder pad" squash. Check it out! It's seriously in the shape of a C!

Brody and my mom...

The kids enjoyed the barn area, which was set up with a slide, straw bale maze, and various riding toys. Brody spotted a toy John Deere right away!

Jaxson Boy exploring his pumpkin.

Emersyn chillin' with Papa.

Neat little photo-op here...

Isn't she looking like such a big girl lately??

Corn maze

Just love this one! He was cracking up but totally unsure of himself on such an elevated surface.

Children of the corn...wasn't that the name of a scary movie a long time ago?

Crazy-cheeser smile...

Ahh, refreshments with the grandparents

After this everyone was tired, hot, and cranky. We paid for our pumpkins and picked up another gallon of cider before leaving. Looking forward to more fall fun coming up soon!
